Lol sorry man! I got confused! I will fix it! smile.gif
I have created a backing track for you!
Here it is!
http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/superize-mentoring
The chord progression is:
C major - A minor - E minor

C major

A minor

E minor

So to start I would like you to come up with a melody only for this track!
I want you to get out of your comfort zone and try new things!
The trick is to make it as simple as possible and be able to sing it!
Here are some tips!
Sing the melody first and try to transfer it to the freatboard
Be simple, do melody instead of technique!

I will limit you with with E minor pentatonic only

After you record something we will analyze your idea and I will show you tricks how to develop it and make it complicated but not overplay!
Also tomorrow I will post a new vibrato exercise for you it shouldn't be hard and will help you develop your touch and timing!
Looking forward to hear what you will come up with! Let me know if you have any questions!

You did a very good job!
I like you ideas!
The first part of the melody sounds very melodic I think second part can be developed a little bit more
What you can do is try Question and Answer technique!
You play a few notes in a lower register and than answering in a high!
Let's add another pentatonic
it will be
A minor blues

What I want you to do is to combine two pentatonics together
Here is an example

This exercise will help you create your own licks
The cool thing about combining pentatonics is that it changes the way you think and bring you into vertical thinking using different shapes!
You can try it out!
Let me know if you need any help!

I could use some help with solos for two songs. I cant figure something out that is both shreddy and melodic.

http://soundcloud.com/isac-lundqvist/co2-solo

Here is a solo that i have written for another song that i am pretty satisfied with.
(The drums in it are only meant to be used as a metronome)

I like solo you did! I have noticed a couple of things
1) Your bends are not very accurate and sometimes it's a little off
2) When you are playing fast part I believe you are using part of the scale some notes in the first part out of key
I can help you with solos! Can you upload the track you need to play solo in? Or at least a chord progression

Sounds good! So let's do that! I need a chord progression for the solo part so I can prepare some licks so you can start practicing!
I will do some sweep and shred smile.gif You will have a lot of fun learning them and also will be able to create your own solo using ideas I will give you!
