Hey man!
Powerchords - if i need my pinky for some extended shapes than i use all 4 fingers to play powerchords - middle finger included Barring is not a thing i would suggest. When you write a song you think in a tonality or a "key" and that's where the scale come from. So if you are writing a song in D-minor than some basic scales you can use are D-minor scale and it's relative major key - which is F-Major and you can also use D-harmonic minor. So those are 3 basic scales to use over a D-minor key. Check out my Speedriffing lessons - should give you some ideas on that subject -------------------- "It isn't how many years you have been playing, it's how many hours." -- Prashant Aswani "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!" -- Michael Angelo Batio Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |
