If you think it's good, why change? You gave the amp 9 out of 10 in your review, then ppl complained. But it's what you think that matters, ok?

if you save a bit more you can get Peavey Valve king 1x12, Laney LC15R or the poor mans Mesa, B-52.
For a modeling amp rokchick has recommended Vox Valvetronix something (check gear reviews) and there's the Roland cube.
All of the above is good value for the money.

For that money, it depends. If you want the most variety for your buck I'd get a valvetronix.

Otherwise I think I would get a carvin vintage 16, but thats just me personally, it has a great classic rock kind of tone, all tube.

Dude for the price i would go with a Roland Cube amp. There great and most have all effects built in and they dont sound cheap either.I have a oland cube 30 =30watts and i love it and have no need for anything else amp wise right now or effects.Thats how happy i am with it.They also make a 60 watt version. You can get the 30 watt one that i have for around $100.00 to $200.00 on ebay. Here's a link to one for sale right now.

Also i would like to say this thing destroy's the mg marshall's. tongue.gif I dont like Marshall period actuallly although i know there high end amps are made nice i never have liked there sound.I would stay away from Marshall period unless you got $1000.00 to drop in just a 1 10'' or 1 12'' amp model.

the Vox valvetronix series AD30VT is like 230ish, and the new vox Valvetronix XL series 30w is 300, made with lots of hi-gain tones. they'd be the best bet imo.

or the cube.
