Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi all! My take on Muris' country picking lesson (intermediate one). One remark by my side is that I adjusted the gain and EQ section on my pedals prior to recording but I forgot to reduce reverb blend which could have been reduced for some more punch in the sound but it works.

P.S.. I was thinking to suggest this in the forum but here it will work too: I think it would be good that everyone tries to point out what were the interesting, hard, easy, most useful parts in every lesson after submission here. This REC posts are viewed often and a lot and students wishing to learn some lesson can search for that lesson in the REC board and read about it and get better clue what is ahead. For instance in this lesson I would like to point out that the fretting hand is rather easy part to do, right hand does ALL the work. Hard part could be the unusual position for right hand as I'm not used to pick close to bridge. Nevertheless, lots of fun, wanted to learn some country licks and this lesson delivers.

Original lesson:
Muris Varajic - Country picking intermediate

My take:

Played on deluxe Telecaster with little gain (TS808), no compression, tiny bit of delay (that I remember to dial down) and reverb (you can at least hear how my new reverb sounds-it's DIY kind).

Cheers!
Emir B.
