GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Bruce's Son Rocks

Posted by: Gabriel Leopardi Apr 23 2012, 04:08 PM

Hey guys! I discovered this cool band and I noted that the singer's name was Dickinson. And yes... he is Bruce's song. His voice in this tune is so versatile melodic and aggressive. Do you think that Bruce is proud? smile.gif

Ha, I've seen this band live last year. They were opening for this british metal band...what was the name again??
Ah, of course: Iron Maiden laugh.gif

So yeah, I think Bruce is proud, and I think his son's band benefits greatly from the famous father smile.gif

But I gotta admit, they are pretty good. I think they will play at Rock im Park this year.

He's actually really good! Really good voice, and he's not trying to be a copy of his father, which is great. smile.gif

I like this song a lot!
Pure metalcore - thanks for sharing, now I have to check more of their stuff. smile.gif

Brought these guys up a few months ago but nobody seemed to bite tongue.gif

I've seen them live at least 4 times, solid live show. Haven't seen them with the new line-up, but it's a shame that the original drummer and bassist left.

They're meant to be releasing new material in time for their US album launch, City of Vultures.

It's true, he has his own personality as a singer. I like how many different voices he can do. I admire singers that can scream and sing high melodic notes in the same song.

Nice pipes on this guy! I guess he has a genetic leg up so to speak smile.gif Bruce should be darn proud. Wonder if they do Maiden covers?

They don't - they've gone through a lot of hate over being linked to a big band and people assuming that they've just had everything handed to them (due to Bruce), which couldn't be any further from the truth. They're a hard working band.

The reality is that this track is fantastic, everything sounds good, and it's their own merit. I'm sure that they are really hard workers.

It would be naive to say that the singer and his band didnt get some attention when they realized who his father was. It's not his fault, he didn't parade it, but its Bruce Dickinson, you cant help it.

yes, that's an advantage off course but they are good.

I find this music to be super generic. Not saying its bad, but five minutes from now I won't remember it.

There is only one Iron Maiden. They are the originators of "Epic" in the metal scene. This band however is lost in a sea of monotonous grunts and power chords.

Dunno man, but that chorus haunts me since Gabe posted this track smile.gif I guess it's not that monotonous once it managed to stick to my head, right?
