I don't know if this is the right place, but here goes.

I have a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone pedal. When I turned on my rig to play for an hour ago, it didn't work in some mysterious way. The way it's set up is like following, which it always have been and I haven't changed anything since last time I played and everything worked perfectly:

Guitar ---> DS-1 ----> MT-2 -----> Amp

My DS-1 works, but as soon as I turned on my MT-2, the sound disappeared. I know the pedal is on, because the red light that indicates that is glowing, and it is connected to electricity, so I don't really know what can be wrong with it, because I haven't touched it since Friday, and it have just been laying there since then, and now it suddenly don't work, even though everything looks ok.

It is hard to explain this problem, since I don't really know what's going on. I know it ain't the jacks, because then the DS-1 wouldn't be working.

If there are any more questions, just ask them.

Thanks in advance,
A frustrated Batista tongue.gif

Well i dont have any pedals so im not much help here...

One thing is that if you have taken everything out of the chain then put it all back together again and it still doesnt work then you may need to pay out for a repair.

Are the pedals under warranty?

Yeah I've tried that. I switched around on the jacks and everything, but it doesn't work. I will call down on the local music store tomorrow if it still doesn't work, because I have a Schecter that stopped work just out of the blue in the same way who needs a repair too. Thanks for answering smile.gif

I'm assuming guitar > amp works perfectly and things like that. Check your cables, etc.

Yeah everything works as normal except for the MT-2. I can play with just the DS-1, just the guitar to the amp and everything, and it doesn't look like there's something wrong with the MT-2 either, except for the part that there's no sound.

Must be the pedal if you checked everything else. Don't worry, just take it to store and replace it.

Try all cables from guitar to amp. If they all work then

Did you try doing just Guitar>MT2>Amp

Are the metal connectors for Input and Output loose?

I have an MT2 and have had it years and had several problems that I have fixed.

Smack it with a rock or stick. That will usually repair anything.
