Whatever this technique is, it's huge in Dimes playing and I cannot seem to replicate it... Does anyone know what's going on here? Just a bunch of hammer ons and pull offs maybe? Yup, he does the same thing on the solo of Walk.. Alot of guitarists use this "Anchor" technique to make some licks easier, guys like Zakk Wylde, Slash, the guitarists from Lynyrd Skynard use it alot on that monster jam of Freebird. All you do is just anchor you'r index finger, and when you move to a lower string, just lift you'r finger a bit from the higher strings so it mutes them.
