Alright all of us on here like cars, so lets talk cars, post a picture of your dream car, talk about whatever and everything to do with cars.

This is my dream car, a '67 Shelby GT500.

I would have a different paint job and everything of course, but that car, man i would kill to have it.

This one for hanging out (1956 corvette, when it was cool before it became a muscle car):

And this one for moving out (also a shelby, but a Cobra):

Oooh, i love that '56 Vette, nice one to have to just drive around or take a road trip.

Exactly! I saw one in a car show a month back, and fell in love with it smile.gif

My uncle would die for that car, he loves the old school vettes, '56 especially. I myself like the early 60's ones, I always love muscles cars, they are like the Deans of cars for me biggrin.gif

I was watching an auction not to long ago, and the 1969 Shelby GT500 Concept Car sold for like $500,000, The same guy who bid that also spent atleast $3,000,000 on other cars, he bought atleast 10 cars that night.

Definately not - NSX is cool!

In terms of cars I have owned, the sweetest was definatley an M3, looked like this, including the color and the unusual 4 door version. It was absolutely amazing to drive, I have never driven anything faster!

Posted by: The Uncreator Jun 8 2007, 02:56 PM

I also wouldnt mine owning an NSX, they are pretty cool, i might prefer a nice Muscle car to it, but an NSX Is still cool

Posted by: Stijntjen Jun 8 2007, 03:29 PM

nice car you used to have andrew, thumps up tongue.gif:

Well i entered this topic hoping it was about the song "cars" i shouldn't have got my hopes up. While im talking about it, i dont know who made that song, do you?

"here in my car, i feel safest of all, i can lock all my doors" goes something like that.
I have also heared that song done by Fear Factory... anyway.

And here is what is getting me around for the moment $600 Honda Accord 1987 smile.gif

My dream car doesn't exist yet. cool.gif thats how cool it is

Robin, My father actually owned a Hummer H2 and you would not believe the number of times people would flip us off while we drove it. It was unreal. People would even write notes in there car on the highway as we passed them and put them in the window for us to read them. They would say something like: "Nice to see you need a Hummer to boost your ego." Stuff like that. We went out to eat at a place called Kotos in So. Burlington, Vermont and someone wrote, in the dirt on the back window, "Go to Iraq and fight for your oil." It was cool to own the Hummer but really got annoying with all the people flipping us off alllllll the time! mad.gif

Even people on bicycles would flip us off. mad.gif Oh yeah, and when my dad was at starbucks, someone printed off an article about how bad the emissions of the hummer is.

When I get on my work laptop, I will have to post some pictures of my Jeep!

Couldn't resist the comment wink.gif

Ideal car btw would be a Jag E type or an old Alpha Romeo Spyder.

Should also add that we're about to change our real car in the next few months - probably for an Audi S4 Quattro or Honda Accord RS xd if we have the cash. (We want a 4wheel drive just not a 4x4 cool.gif ). We'll probably end up though with a Fiat Doblo rolleyes.gif unsure.gif .

Matt - nice VW smile.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

Did you see this week's Top Gear Matt? 911 vs an Aston Martin vs a Ferrari (I think). Missed all but the last 2 minutes when they were already back in the studio ohmy.gif - but the presenters preferred the 911 as I recall...

laugh.gif Kind of reminds me when I worked in the N of England Andrew. It had been snowing one Friday and at home time we looked out the office and though it was ok as we could see this guy standing on what we thought was the road. Wrong - he was standing on the roof of his car surrounded by about a 5 foot deep drift.

Least you have a proper reason for the jeep btw smile.gif - unlike the zillions that used to appear on the school run at my daughter's old UK school wink.gif .

My current car is a 06 STI Black with Cobb Stage 1 ECU flash. It's roughly 325hp to the flywheel. To the ground I'm probably 260ish hp and close to 300lb torque. Low 13 seconds, maybe high 12s.

Now my dream car, other would have to be the veyron. I mean AWD, with 1000hp on tap, 4 turbos! The car is easy to drive fast, looks super cool, and you even have a 2nd ignition to get it in the 200mph mode! See Top Gear videos if you haven't already.

More realistic, I'd take a lotus exige S. That or the new Skyline GT-R that's coming out.

Posted by: mattacuk Dec 11 2007, 06:24 PM

Is that an Impreza STI ? smile.gif

Is that an Impreza STI ? smile.gif

See I just cannot see the attraction to the Veyron, sure its got mega power but its just not as beautiful as a 911 Turbo to me! biggrin.gif

Yep 06 Impreza STI. I have it debadged though and with a WRX wing. I took off all the STI stickers, badges and switchted the wing so people wouldn't want to race me as much. I also have the windows tinted. It's black with the gold BBS rims. Mustangs still try to outrun me; but haven't yet. cool.gif

The 911 Turbo is a hot machine - I'd driver either one if I had the chance. At Byers Imports where I purchased my STI they have some 911s. Dead sexy. I'd go for the AWD flavor myself.

The Veyron in my opinion though is a dead sexy car. Another car that I saw recently is an Audi R8. I've seen to so far in the flesh, one at work and also one for sale at Byers. I'd take one of those too I have too. smile.gif

Sounds like you have good taste in cars !! biggrin.gif I have a VW Golf GTI 1.8 Turbo which I love muchly smile.gif

Thanks! smile.gif GTI's are very sweet. I almost traded in my STI for one of the new ones, with DSG. The DSG was very sweet! Made me feel like I was driving an F1 car. They wanted to much money down though and I was pretty negative on my STI. Was going to purcahse to save money per month on the car payment, but ended up refinancing the STI.

A car I use to own that I think you would dig on is the 04 VW R32. Very sweet car! The one I owned was the Deep Blue Pearl. Only 800 of those were made in that color for the US. The one I had though was beat up by another person so I ended up trading it in for the STI. It drove better than the STI in some ways, but the STI already had the turbo and the 4 doors is really nice. I'd love to have the new R32/34? with the DSG.

Ahhh Yes I love that shape R32 its really pretty ! biggrin.gif I would love to get my GTI chipped, the turbos tune so well !! cool.gif

The new R32 is totally awsome, but im not so sure its as pretty as the MK4. Still i would like one ALOT !!

I also like the Mk4 body style myself. When I had the R32 I was looking to get an EIP stage 1 turbo or a supercharger.

You should put on a turbo back exhaust and get a dyno tune. I'm sure that would unlesh some more HP. But then again, that's money that could be spent on music gear. smile.gif

Haha yes, and belive me I didnt play guitar so much I would have spent all the money on tuneing the car for sure. Now I have a cool new Amp and pedals and I think its money better spent ! biggrin.gif

I was driving a Mitsubishi Magna VXR, which I loved, it was fairly old, but man....it was comfortable, fast, made a sexy noise wink.gif....it was awesome...but it was a company car, and my mum gave it back, and rented a Pajero...which I'm not allowed to drive cause Dubai law says you gotta be 23....I'm stuck with no car...:@
