Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey guys,

Emotional Feeling Guitar - Level 3
Instructor : Adrian Figallo

As Adrian said in his lesson introduction, playing slow and with emotion can be harder than playing fast. I really have the feeling that I learned a lot from this one !! When I compare Adrians take with mine, I see and hear there is still a a big room for improvement, but after studying this lesson for 3 weeks (especially those bends with vibrato), I think it's time to REC it.

Nice take Nico. You put a lot of feeling into that one smile.gif

Just a couple of points to focus on - vibrato as Cosmin said. And the timing of the bends.. you want to be able to control the pace of the bends so you can do them as fast or as slow as you want. cool.gif

Good job man! I also think that you could improve your vibrato since it sounds a bit weak.

wow i love to hear my music being played by someone else, specially a good guitar player with a js1200 biggrin.gif, i like a lot the overall feel and tone (you could bring down the gain a touch tho wink.gif ) but i agree with the guys, i think you are being serious about the guitar, from your rig and the timing between your takes, so we should be clear and direct with you.

You need to relax your vibrato a bit, specially on slow tempos, think about it like waves on a calm sea, the are big, calm and random.. but calm.

I would like a little bit of more strength on the picking, just a BIT, and less gain, that will make a similar sound but a more controlled feel. Also the tone will be better and more "audible", less muddy.

If you want to improve and explore a lot of tones i recommend you get guitar rig, the new version is coming out sep 1, it's great because you can explore differente legendary heads + cabinets + pedals + racks + microphones.

That can customize your tone a LOT, i don't remember my settings for this lessons, but i would use now a tube screamer + hot plexi + recabinet with a 1960 and an orange cab. that would make a sweet vintage tone, slash-like.

very nice job again dude, thanks for submitting my music, i like the feeling.
