Cool! look forward to some info on all this stuff. Looking at getting an Ipad 2 currently. How much did the dock set you back? The Alesis IPad Doc is about $200 US. So less in Euro. A couple hundred bux to turn the ipad in to a usable studio instrument/tool seems an honest value. Midi/XlR Out/In Video Out, etc. It's just handy! Here is a link with info/video. The vid shows using it for full blown mobile production. Have not tried that yet though. http://www.alesis.com/iodock |

Awesome! I didn't know that this type of equipment exists.. thanks Todd! It was new to me too. I was a bit suprised to find it but I'm really impressed with it. Damn ,great gadget and very affordable price ! thanks Todd ! The list price is nearly $400 US but everyone is selling them for $200 US. It's a killer device and the sound quality is really quite good. I'll upload a sample. http://www.alesis.com/iodock This post has been edited by Todd Simpson: Sep 19 2011, 11:08 PM |

AMPKIT+ for (iPad and iPhone)
INFO @ http://agilepartners.com/apps/ampkit/gear/ I have been experimenting with an APP called AMPKIT for iPad and iPhone. I'm just shocked how good it is for a "Mobile" App. The tone is Impressive. I honestly think it might work for a live gig. You can download it for FREE from the apple store if you have an iOS device. Here are a couple of recordings on stock patches. I read about ALEX SKOLNICK using it for warming up backstage at gigs and thought I'd try it. It RAWKS. Ipad_MetalTone_Test_Ampkit.mp3 ( 602.59K ) Number of downloads: 207 Second tone on the way.... |

Did they create some online store or something? This is where the real money is. I noticed that you can buy models online, so this is the right move. IK Multimedia is doing the same thing now with Amplitube 3.

For the base software with a couple of amps/pedals, then it's pay as you go. Here is a link to download the free version. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/amplitubefree/download/ Here is a pic of the "store front" |
