Ok, here is my take at the Winter Wonderland arrangement. Overall quality not too good (movie and playing ) but wanted to use this take given the accidental face-coverage of my youngest daughter dancing in the background
Posted by: Staffy Dec 27 2009, 02:59 PM
Prizeless!! Yeah, the kids really like when daddy rocks!! (in that age.... )

Yeah, obviously I asked them to join in the vid to distract the viewer from the mistakes I make

Rik, nice take... I think you get extra points for the back-up dancers in your video
Posted by: Rik Veldhuizen Dec 27 2009, 08:17 PM
thanks.. guess I need them to generate a lot of extra points then
Posted by: Gabriel Leopardi Dec 27 2009, 08:43 PM
Great takes guys!! I love the personal touch in Victor's take (very interesting ideas!) and the dancers in Rik's one! Good job!!!

lol...I thought about it - but they had to be put upstairs with my wife so I could play in peace! It's hard to play while having this screamed in your ears - "DAD!! WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE MY TURN WITH THE GUITAR?!?!"

I was trying to figure out something as cool as Your children dancing, but dressing like Santa Clause was to much for me, and I had no other ways of improving my image:P

@Dexxter ..... Why... why... now my chances are very small Very nice take dude! Why didn't you try the advanced level? haha
My take peeps:
I'd really like some comments on my posture and technique, because I'll pause playing guitar for a week or something from now on, because I have shoulder aches, and I think it's kinda like shoulder tendonitis So, some posture tips could help
Posted by: Hammerhead Dec 30 2009, 08:13 PM
WOW!!! Great Jobs everybody THis is great fun to watch!!! I like all of them... the dancers and the snowflakes and even the videos with just the playing. It's all great

Haha, it's too hard for me. I'm in the annoying "in between" level I don't see what's so different between yours and mine but thanks

Don't flip your head back like that when you bend, it can cause serious injury in the neck and shoulders... haha just kidding Seriously though I don't have any tips, sorry

Welcome man Very nice technique you got there! The only thing to work on is phrasing IMO. Some vibrato couldn't hurt
Anywayz, those alternate picking runs are very nice!!

Sentenced .. s your guitar an ibanez rg 2550 z ??? is it nice ??? (i mean can u play it nicely ?? ) does i sound good ???
Posted by: Sentenced Jan 1 2010, 12:51 AM
Its a RG 2550, but not the "Z" Edition, its the version before the "Z", but the differences arent that big, just some extra feautures on the tremolo systems i think. If it sounds good you decide better yourself, just watch some of my youtube videos ;-) I think its a nice guitar, but quite expensive. BTW: Happy new year
