Hey guys/girls,
As you might have seen we have done some progress with the song collab - and we have got the basic intro-verse-chorus structure set. Here is the latest mix. My current plan is to have the solo spots occur throughout the song over these riffs. When we have got vocals down, we will need to decide on those guitar leads - and that’s when things can advance quickly. So if you would like to be a part of this you should really start practicing and jamming over this track right away. Perhaps include it in your daily routine and jam over it at least 30-60 minutes every day! Feel free to upload your ideas here, you can record them over any section of the song and I will give you feedback and improvement suggestions. (NB you don’t need to wait for vocals to record your ideas, upload them here whenever you want) If I feel your ideas will work in the song, we can do any of the following: * I will use your audio in the final mix. Before we get there you might need to rework your take - and this is actually the whole point of this exercise. I think that if we work together you will be able to ‘up’ your playing to a new level. * Alternatively I can re-record your idea and you will get ‘co’ credits for it anyway * I might borrow ideas from your take for the vocal melodies ( or guitar harmonies etc etc), in this case you will also get songwriting credits (so far Bleez and Amir are co-writers). Regardless of what happens I can promise you that if you have a go at this, it should be a very valuable experience for your musical development. ----- The song is in 70 bpm and you can use the E minor and E minor pentatonic scale throughout:   The only exception is Bleez section (01:18-01:31) which calls for some more creative work with G minor instead:  ---- Perhaps you are thinking "what kind of leads are you looking for?". I am not looking for anything specific, because the mood of the song is not yet set in stone, so you have a lot of creative freedom. Remember it doesn’t matter if your take gets used for the final product or not - if you only participate I promise you will improve. Improving is why you are here, right?
