> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Rec Board - Rules Adjustment

Andrew and I discussed the REC program a while back, and in a semi-serious way he told me that in a few years people might think of GMC as "let's visit GMC again to check out who's got the highest REC score this week! Oh and by the way someone told me they have forums as well."

What I am trying to say is that probably many of us feel that the REC board is about to develop into something very special! This is thanks to Skennington's efforts, the grading instructors and most importantly to YOU who have been practicing, and submitting your videos to the REC board.

In an effort to smoothen the grading process up we have decided to change the required amount of instructor grades from five to three. However if an entry should have three instructor grades but still missing a grade from the instructor whose lesson has been uploaded - Skennington will send a pm and save an additional grading spot for this instructor.

As always - be sure to keep an eye on the scoreboard to see who the hottest GMC:ers are! cool.gif

Looking forward to more REC:ing!

Does that mean that if we see that 3 instructors have already graded the take, we shouldn't grade that one? Or if 2 instructors graded does it mean we're waiting for the one whose lesson is played and we shouldn't grade anymore?

That sounds good Kristofer. Sometimes instructors take too long to grade lesson so dropping from 5 to 3 is great step to speed the process.

I have the same question as Emir - can we grade if there are already 3 instructors that graded it ?

Yes you can - but I think most will agree that priority lies on the entries that do not yet have 3 grades!

Makes perfect sense. So no high limit as long as all the entries have at least 3 evaluations smile.gif

Yes guys, grade away if it is still open. I will close them once we have at least 3, no maximum. I would ask that when you hit the REC board for grading, will you start at the bottom and work your way up? As you have seen, I've been trying to bump the older submissions up so you guys will get to them first. smile.gif

I always check them all (except the locked ones). So far many of them have at least 3 and they are still open.
