A Heart Of Treachery
The rain fills the streets
As the sun goes down
Pattering so hard, and yet
I cannot hear a sound

I walk among the shadows
And I feel from the light
Tattered and torn
I grace the night

The reason I’m alone
The reason I exist
So many questions
But too many I dismiss

I lie awake at night
My purpose puzzles me
The people I once loved
I can no longer see

As these days pass by
The looks I have received
But these are the people
The ones I have deceived

Never trust your life
In those you think you love
They are the soldiers sent from Hell
Not the Angels from above

The ones you think you hate
This is who you consign
The ones without the reasoning
To take what was once mine

This is a song I wrote a few days ago during class about a man who is betrayed by a person he thought he loved. The tune was inspired by the music of "The Clouding" and "Watching Over Me" and the lyrics a little by "I Died For You" (all by Iced Earth) There is no real chorus to this song. Please give feedback as usual smile.gif
Thanks
