Well, when you're into Sci-Fi, the new Battlestar Galactica is awesome. Despite most series, this one has a plot that is developed throughout the whole series. I also loved Torchwood, and the third season consits of 5 episodes with a cool plot. Can't wait for the new season that will start in a few weeks.
