Hey Bogdan! Some bassic lessons for sure. Blues/Rock would be great as that is where I have decided to focus myself. Cheers I'm currently developing in that direction..Lessons focused for beginner/intermediate bassist , starting from the very basics! Check out my Roots lesson , Country style one, Walking Bass Series,Intervals Lesson,Major scale and modes one...They will help you a lot with getting the basics down. -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

Hi, I often wonder what kind of basslines to add to my own songs/melodies.
As I most often play heavy rock and metal it would be nice with some more examples of these genres. I'm no expert bassplayer, so I'm requesting something like a level 4 metal bass lesson, just to get an idea of what I could add my own stuff. All though it's mostly metal for me, I think bass like this is very melodic and powerful, even addictive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggEjRDKJbQg A lesson something like that would also motivate me to play more bass I think. That's all! -------------------- |

That's all! I have just finished a new lesson inspired by that song (and band) you posted Will be live soon... I'll do a metal bass one you requested in the future too... If I had a bass, I'd want to play like Bootsy and Larry Graham -- both those guys were revolutionary and so infectious.
Here's a recent Bootsy collab with Buckethead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntyOO9Z-p4Y I was looking for a good early p-funk clip with Bootsy, but u-tube is full of really bad quality fan-shot footage from the 70s. OK for fans, but it doesn't convey the effect of the sound very well. Here's Larry Graham fooling around in what looks like a studio. Not great music, but a good technique demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pbhxB7cGbw One of these days I'm going to get a bass...if you've got some Bootsy/Graham lessons, it might happen sooner This post has been edited by methodseeker: Jul 22 2009, 04:33 AM |

I love both of bassist mentioned (who doesn't) so you might be getting your bass sonner! I'd love to see some John Wetton, or Chris Squier type stuff. Of course, Geddy Lee wouldn't hurt my feelings at all either! Thanks for request man! I'll study them and see what can I do -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

A Steve Harris style lesson would be cool!
Also maybe something in the style of The Beatles (Paul McCartney) would be very nice to play. |
