Oh hey Gabriel thanks for the response
, lately I have mainly been focused on improvisation so I am always looking for new ideas for applying scales and arpeggios, and the theory behind those ideas.

Well thats a tough question because I have many favorite musicians and styles, Lately my focus has been on progressive blues rock jazz fusiony kinda stuff, I love guys like Satch and Greg Howe,I really like that Buckethead character too.And recenty I have been checking out Guthrie Govan. Paul gilbert is definately a favorite as well. older influences would be Page, Santana, Gilmore, and Hendrix, My playing style has basically originated in the blues. All that being said I am always open to incorporating other styes into my playing as well and I am always looking for something fresh to add to my bag of tricks no matter what the style really, so whatever you got lay it on me man!
Thanks again, Rich.......

Great players! I also enjoy those monsters of guitar! It's good to see that you have a very wide taste in music and that you are open to always discover new players that can give you some fresh ideas and inspiration!
Have you applied dominant arpeggios and Mixolydian mode to blues?

The topics are always different. I talked about alternate picking, sweep picking, legato, warming up exercises, composing a song in the style or..., blues improvisation, Yngwie Malmsteen style, Pentatonic shredding, Pentatonics with the addition of chromatic notes... those are some of the topics treated in my last sessions..

Yes I have applied dominant arpeggios and the mixolydian mode to blues. Mixolydian is what I find myself using the most lately as well as trying to blend the mixo and dorian modes with major and minor pentatonic and blues scales but I still have plenty to learn I am sure
I havent really had tons of practice on my arpeggios but they are coming along and mostly when I play them they are major and minor 7th as well as the minor 7 flat 5 and straight diminished arpeggios.
See you on friday!
