Hello guys! This is the final mix and comments of this cool collaboration based on the Neoclassical Power Metal Style. Thanks Todd and Degroot for joining! I must say that this could be the solo section of any professional power metal band out there. Your level and taste is fantastic guys! smile.gif

Todd’s Solo:
Your fast alternate picking licks are always like a weapon, you are very precise and tight. Every note sounds cool over the chords and the overall solois very funny to hear. You play neoclassical style but in a very fresh way, and that’s a very difficult thing to achieve. Your tone on this one remembers me a lot to Tony McAlpine 80’s Shred Albums, have you noticed it?

DeGroot's Solo:
I followed every step while you were creating this solo at Gab’s Army thread and I would like to say that the result is superb. I love this solo mate, everythins fits perfect over the backing and the overal is fresh and interesting. Your technique is flawless and your tone very warm. Congrats for your job!

Thanks very much for the comments! I'm glad to get the opportunity to fine tune solos in Gab's army. It certainly pushed me to make it better.

I thought I'd hear a lot of takes with such a cool backing. I personally love to play over this kind of music. Well, see you on the next one. wink.gif

AWESOME! Turned out great smile.gif Thanks for the mix and the feedback! I'm glad you noticed the bits of musical humor that I try to lace in to my solos smile.gif It's always fun to juxtapose certain bits in a clever way and actually get a smile or even a giggle out of folks when they listen to a passage.

Thanks also for the comparison in tone to Tony McAlpine as thats exactly the tone I was going for here smile.gif Tony is one of my All Time Fav players and I still love his tone, his technique, his style, just a killer player. This tune in particular seemed to be begging for a bit of Tony smile.gif He uses "Semi Pinch" picking in some passages like I did here in the first lick. It's alternate picking bording on pinch harmonics and leads off a scale well smile.gif

Thanks again and I look forward to the next one!

Todd

Hi Yash! I have to respect the deadlines for collaborations. Feel free to record something over this backing and post it at Gab's Army thread and I will give you my feedback. By the way I'll be starting a new collab in 10 days...
