GMC Forum _ Bands and Guitarists _ Megadeth Meet And Greet Question

so it's $40 for a basic membership in the Megadeth fanclub, which would get me access to the meet and greet.

Now, the ONLY way this would be worth it for me is if Dave Mustaine would sign my DV8-R, one of his old signature guitars. Now that he's endorsed by Dean, would he sign an "old" ESP signature? Do they even let you bring guitars to these things?

Anyone have any prior experience with this or maybe tried to get a Jackson signed since he left Jackson?

I doubt you could get a guitar in mate unless it has a neck you can take from the body to get signed. I have been to one of these and got all the Megadeth albums signed and picture with them all. Some people had vinyls to sign and some had guitar necks but no body.

Basically because you'd have to get a guitar in a gig and keep it with you all the way through. The meet and greet is after show, not before.

He'd have no problem signing it though if you find a way to sneek it in. He even signed a Kill Em All book that somebody wanted signing biggrin.gif

hosed, it's Neck-thru-body construction, but I suppose I could take off the pick guard and get it signed if I wanted....

Hmm, now it might be worth it.

Well with the meet and greet with Nightwish, the only one i have experienced, they did it before the show, and some guy brought in his ESP to have the band sign it, and he just took it back to the car after it was signed, then went back in.

Meet and Greets are usually before the show.

The Megadeth one is after as I have been to one and met them all and it was after show. Megadeth ones are never before

Thats odd.

Well, my idea was shot to hell. The meet and greet is BEFORE the show and it's OK to bring guitars.

The downside, it's $275 USD. Don't get me wrong, having a Dave Mustaine Signature guitar bearing an actual Dave Mustaine signature would be awesome, but I don't think I'm willing to shell out the extra $225 for it as it's only the ltd version. The ESP version, maybe.

Oh thats not the same thing as I did. I got one for free and it is after the show. The Gigantour ones are before the gig. You're best waiting for a none Gigantour gig where you are.
