After taking 8 months off to recover from a hand injury and surgery, I'm finally getting back into it. I'm not sure where to start, I feel like I've forgotten everything I knew. My timing, speed, and coordination are really suffering. I really need to work up my hand strength and coordination without overexerting myself. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Welcome back. One you learned something it will come back prettty quick, just play around with things you knew before and it will come back to you.
Welcome back! First suggestion would be to just take it easy. As MickeM said, it will come back to you.
Welcome back.
Yeah, I’ve been just noodling around a lot just to work up some calluses and some old songs seem to be slowly coming back to me. It’s just frustrating to see how bad I got from not playing for a while. There has been so many great lessons that I missed out on and I would like to jump right into them, but I guess I need to be realistic.
Welcome back !!! nice you have returned
Start of slow and work yourself back up to where you once were
Welcome back to GMC!
Welcome back man and take your time.
welcome back again
Welcome back mate, glad to see you again
My only advice is - don't rush it, take your time because you don't want any complications. You will recover the technique quickly with an steady even flow of sessions. Avoid marathon sessions.
welcome back!!!
Welcome back and as with Ivan take it easy - thing,. like Micke said, will come back with a bit of time.
Cheers,
Tony
Welcome back!!
As said,do it slowly to get in shape.
Thanks for the advice. I think I'll run through some beginner lessons until my strength builds back up
Welcome back!
Are there any tips you want to give us to help us avoid getting the same injury? I wonder if there is something wrong with my wrist.
Glad you're back again and recovering. Like others have said, it wont take long for the skills that you acquired before to return to you. Just take it easy for a while and slowly build up making sure you aren't feeling any pain
Welcome Back!!!!!
Take it easy and you'll be back better than before, before you know it!
