OK SO, Im trying to buy an acoustic guitar lately, and i don't know which brand is good in acoustic.

probably gibson would be the best, but gibson acoustics are way too much for me right now, and expensive.

so i was thinking about ibanez or takamine. are they good ?

Ibanez is pretty good Takamine is very good but I think Taylors are bar-none the superior acoustic brand, their tone is so strong and rich. If you get a chance find a guitar stor with a variety of acoustics and try them out.

P.S. Most Taylors are the same price as the Gibsons, also look at Ovation their pretty good.

Takamine or Ovation are good acoustic guitars. Gibson has few models that are good, but mainly older ones. If you wanna buy new one, go for takamine, they're among the best.

I got 2 Ibanez acoustic guitars. My first is an AE10LG (AEQ-20 preamp) that I bought for 10 years ago. It sounds great and it can be compared with the Ibanez ael10e. This one is priced at 300 euro.
My last one is an Ibanez aef37e-tcs:
I just love it and the price is 400 euro. This is the best acoustic i have played on, and I think its even better than eny 1000 euro Takamine or Taylor guitar that I have tried.

The top Acoustic brands are Martin, Taylor, Guild, and a few others which are not distributed nearly as widely as those three.

Low end acoustics are Yamaha, Ovation, Ibanez, and several others.

YES, Taylor and the other good brands make crappy models and YES ovation and Ibanez make some nice models but all in all I think the above statements hold true for the majority of the brands offerings.

An off-beat brand I have always been fond of is Seagull. They are hand crafted in Canada using select limited cut woods and cost about $400 US and up. The price to quality ratio is insane.
