Atreyu Style, Lesson By Gabriel Leopardi |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi friend! Cool to see this lesson here at REC!
The overall of your playing is good on this take. You've learnt each of the parts of this one and you can play most of the parts with a very tight precision. Your tone sounds well for this lesson, and your palm muting has the right sound for this type of riffing. In order to get the more of this lesson I would like to mark some details to focus, work and improve: - The intro riff is sounding good but you are not totally comfortable with the melody created with double strings. Your left hand is still not totally comfortable and that quits groove to your playing in this section. Focus on timing. Also, that double string note played at 00:04 and every time it's repeated sounds different to the original lesson, re-check tabs of my slow playing. - The 16th notes with palm muting are giving problems. (for example at 00:31, and every time it appears). You are not playing the part tight so I think that the best would be to isolate that measure and work on it as a loop to train your right hand. - And finally, while you practice the lesson pay more attention to timing in general. I note other parts where timing is not totally precise, for example the last section with two guitars. Also, try to relax your right hand when you play to let if go more with the groove. Relax your hand and your arm a bit from your elbow. It will really help. Well, as you can see these are little details but I consider them very important to take your guitar playing one step forward, so please work on it and let me know if you need some extra help. Keep on rocking! -------------------- My lessons
