Man, you did'nt have a cop follow you home? What a steal!
Nice grab! If my washing machine had'nt took a crap on me today, I had some money put back for the next GC blowout and was going to get me a Pod. I know you can play that thing the way it's meant to be played man, looking forward to hearing some of your takes with it. -------------------- |

Just to make you ill (how did your hand come out btw?).........
I got my Mahogany for $600. But it was a weird deal. Some outfit had them for sale at that price just a few days. I had Guitar Center price match it. These were actually a Guitar Center/sister company deal. What I figured was that they bought them in bulk somehow at a discount, and were trying to get into the market. But Guitar Center put a stop to it I think after a number of people did the price match. But to the point, this is a SUPER guitar. Has a very unique sound, gets great pinch harmonics. I also have an expensive Les Paul Standard reissue btw. These Mahogany's really are nice, different from a Maple Les Paul in sound, but still good sustain. Hard to describe the tone. I would guess strong in the mid range and medium high treble range, not as much in the bass. They have been described as having a "woody" sound. edit: it has the burstbucker pickups, same as on a standard btw. they are modeled after PAF pickups. Really like them. Then you're lucky, but I still think $850 is a great price for this guitar. So theres three of us who have it eh?
