> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: One note per string Alternate Picking Etude by Lian Gerbino

I think its about time for me to come to the Rec board ones again(Cant even remember the my last entry). This is one note per string alternate picking lesson by Lian Gerbino. I have been working on this on and off ever since it got posted and i find it a very good alternate picking excercice using only one note per string. the recording is done using my logitech webcam and my jackson js 30 guitar

Great job mate

Try to increase you speed even if the original lesson is not like this, try to push your limits.
This arpeggios at a higher speed can be played with sweep picking technique as a warm up exercise. You should try it wink.gif

Hi Superize! Nice to find you again at REC! This is an excellent lesson for gaining precision with alternate picking technique. You have some sync and timing issues in the first arpeggios but then your playing becomes tighter. Keep on playing this lesson everyday since it's a great exercise and warming up.

I would like to suggest you trying this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...tring-skipping/

It's also killer for AP.

Keep on rocking!

Hey Ize,

Nothing else to point out, aside the slight hand uncoordination in the beginning part, so just take a bit more time to practice this one and things will surely fall into place. Focus on hand synch most of all at slow speed and then gradually raise tempo, while maintaining a relaxed feeling.

All the best,

Cosmin
