Number of downloads: 108Hey man here is my solo. My power went off yesterday, just came back on, so I decided to just go ahead and upload it the old fashioned way. AS few notes were off and you had some timing issues, but it sounded very good anyway!  I will add my take and a new assignment in a few hours! Good job! -------------------- |

Hey Alex I have my take ready to go I just have to record it. I got a new computer this week so as soon as I get cubase up and running I'll record it. Should be this week, thanks for being patient.

Number of downloads: 105 Well here it is, finally done! Took me long enough, I finally ended up setting my old computer back up and using all my old equipment, I hope its alright, since everything surrounding it has been crazy. I tried to kind of have similar sound as you and make my solo mesh into yours, and I also stayed with the shapes you wanted me to use, except for one point where I took them up the neck. Instead of Gminor starting at the third fret, I moved up to the 15th, but its the same scale shape. It sounded very good I like your touch and you have a very nice vibrato! and it is totally fine to use old equipment as long as it does the job! I liked your solo and you had some great moments it sounded to me that you gave everything right from the beginning and if you would build it up slower playing less at first your solo will create more impact! Have you heard about question and answer technique? If not I can explain it in details! Let me know! Also it sounded like your guitar was a little out of tune but it didn't change your performance too much! Good job! -------------------- |

Thanks for the kind words regarding the solo man! The guitar probably was slightly out of tune, I tuned it before I started practicing, but I had practiced foe quite a while before I recorded that, and all the bends probably knocked it a little out.
I think I have heard about the question and answer technique, only I think I heard it called "Call and Response" technique. You are talking about playing one phrase and then answering it with a similar phrase? I am fairly familiar with doing this with two guitars, but haven't really tried working on doing it with one guitar. That would be awesome! Also I have a sort of theory related question. I know there are patterns you can learn in order to play modes and pentatonics and I know those, but is there a box pattern or three note per string type of pattern for harmonic minor? I would like to be able to play harmonic minor up and down the neck, and thought having a pattern to go by would make it easier to learn.
