What I enjoy most in a show is the anticipation of that first song, then the lights come up, the volume, the crowd, etc...

I'm seeing Rush, Elvis Costello, and The Police this summer and I keep imagining what those opening moments will be like. Can't wait!

At a good metal gig when everyone in the pit turn to zombies when the dudes on the other side of the barriers are handing out water between acts! laugh.gif

The scenic presence and a good mood!
With that comes a good communication with the audience and it develops into a great gig.

And the sound, not too loud but loud enough. I want to hear everything without the sound breaking up or drowning out other instruments. And if it's an outdoor concert, no wind. I hate when the sound blows away sad.gif

I want to hear something that isn't on the albums. Like Pearl Jam play songs so much different to the album versions and add in sections and jams. It kicks arse.

I don't want to hear an album played to me perfectly. I can do that at home biggrin.gif

Im pretty sure they dont have many fans here but Linkin Park has the best live show ive ever been to. The y just nail everything, every instrument is in sync and Chester Benningtons voice is always top notch, ive never been dissapointed at the Three ive been to.
I like having alot of energy and some significant crowd participation, on the Meteora Tour whil P.O.D. was oppening for linkin park they le some kids come up to sing youth of the nation and that was pretty cool, and a cool oppeining helps too.
