Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Soloing over 5/8 by Daniel Realpe on GMC.
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Soloing_Over_5_Eighths/

Gear used:
-PRS Custom 24 10-Top
-Fractal Audio Axe-FX Ultra - Mark IV lead patch
-Mixed in Logic 8.

Getting better. Weak note at the end but a decent take. Once again, trying something different.

I'm glad you chose one of my lessons smile.gif

All the notes are correct and in place!

The key element missing is vibrato!

Take that G string and really bend it fast to create a very expressive vibrato, and the B string also!

Use a pentatonic scale to practice,

Just take your guitar and start doing that,

Guitarists that I enjoy who do that are Marty Friedman, Yngwie Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore!

You played the whole piece nice, with all the notes there, but you lack the fine details, timing, tone control, vibrato.. You should really play every note with comfort, and although this is difficult lesson, I must give a 7 because 8 is too much. Keep practicing.
