Nik Huber Redwood, METAL TEST!

I even said once it worked perfect for everything except metal... Shame on me In my opinion this guitar works like a charm for metal as well My Gibson is depressed right now, poor thing Anyway, this is just a short clip to show you what it sounds like. Didn't spend to much time mixing it, but it sounds pretty good. I have nothing negative to say other than the almost pure use of minor pentatonic. I could be wrong, but a metal song must have Aeolian and/or Phrygian Dominant as well ! I agree It's just that it's got some "vintage" handwound pickups installed, which shouldn't be well suited for metal (at least not compared to my Bareknuckle Pickups in my Gibson).. I was more suprised about how thick the tone of you Redwood is,considering it has a hollow body! Did you double tracked the recording to make it sound fatter or is it just one layer? It's two tracka panned 45% left and right But either way, it sounds just as fat as any solidbody guitar I've ever tried to be honest.. I've got Nailbombs in a 1991 Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite (Limited Edition version), great guitar!
