Heya Gabriel.

I was wondering if it were possible that you could do a lesson in the style of AFI? They don't play much of advanced music, but they have kind of created their own style through the last years, and their rythms is genious and funny to play. Guitarist Jade Puget is really a genious in my eyes when it comes to music creation.

The reason I asked you is because you are the one here who is playing "most" rock music as far as I have noticed. smile.gif

Hi! I don't know AFI very much but I promise that I heard their music because I've heard about them very often. Then I'll tell you if I can do a lesson in the style of them.

Hey Gabriel, thanks for your reply.

Their best album for me is Sing The Sorrow, because it ain't so much electronica elements like in for instance their newest album Decemberunderground. In the earlier years of their career they played a lot of punk, but I have kinda grown from it, because it usually is pretty simple. So I would say Sing The Sorrow as the best, and The Art of Drowning on second place and Decemberunderground on third place.

There is simple punk and there is simple instrumental music but It isn't important. They are all professional musicians, I respect them and I enjoy the music by itself not the difficulty.

You know that sometimes I find more difficult to compose a simple beatiful idea or song than a long fast ultra difficult sweep picking lick.

Yeah I know what you mean, and I didn't mean I don't respect them for what they do neither. What I meant with it is that I enjoy playing more difficult stuff instead of just rocking around with only power chords smile.gif

wink.gif yeah... I understand what you mean. It's not a discussion just some ideas and opinions. Obviouly that when you are practicing and developing your guitar player is great to increase the difficulty of the songs that you are learning.
