Hi CathShadow!! Welcome to your thread for the Gab's Army!
Could you please tell me a bit about you, your musical tastes, influences, strengths and weaknesses? I would need some videos of you playing rhythm and solo guitar, so please post your best material here. If you have some music or ideas of your own, also post them here. Also let me know how you think that I can help you and what are your expectations for our job. You can check the other Army's thread to discover the different modalities of this project. The principles of our Army are: + Improve your technique + Make music and solos + Have fun + Destroy the enemy (hahaha not realy just kidding... ) -------------------- My lessons

Hi man! Thanks for the description and also for the video that you sent me. On this first week we will start with some warming up/endurance exercises that I shared in my Vchat sessions. Here you have the link:
LESSON #1 – WARMING UP & ENDURANCE Work on this ones. Try to get a full tone of every note and to keep playing each one as a loop the more time than you can. Always stretch your arms and fingers before you start practising. I have two questions: What level of solo lessons do you use to learn here at GMC? What's your theory knowledge? Do you know triads, chords, scales and how to use them? -------------------- My lessons

Well, I usually try level 4 lessons as far as solo - that's the highest I've tried... with varying success rates... As for theory: My theory is kind of mixed -> Triads I know are I, III, V from the scale, As for Chords.. to make chord prgression from a scale take the I, IV, V chords, thats the most common right? As for scales... I know more the box shapes than the scales (by heart) but I can work out at leas the major scale (WWHWWWH)... Pierre -------------------- |

Well, It's been a while, But I've learned a few of the finger picking ones, (Raindrops - Dejan Farkus) those ones, the flyleaf style - Carlos Carrilla I did your Nirvana one, Tarantella Rock your Paramore style lesson -- but I only landed up doing the rhythm half, These are the ones I remember... I suppose you could consider me a 'blank slate' o_O Great! This really helps me to know what lesson we must select. PS: One of my goals is to be able to play this / like this: yeah! this tune is awesome. I love how they both play. Let's go for this type of playing! Looking forward your video! -------------------- My lessons

Yes please!! that'd be great! Hi mate! Everything sounds good and clean on this video! Now it's time to use the legato exercises to work on resistance. I would like to have a new video of you playing some of those exercises as a loop for a minute or more. Regarding the lessons for the REC, I think that we should go for the Paramore lesson that is a good lesson for rhythm guitar playing and very in your style. https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Paramo...ar-Arrangement/ Also, I would like you to select a collab to join. The idea is to work here your ideas until we have a solo that we like. Check out this thread: Active Collabs -------------------- My lessons

Hi mate! The take is very good! I just noted two moments where there is something weird about timing but the problem is very small. It's mostly in the palm muted parts when you end a riff, and is more notorious in the part that goes from 01:03 to 01:26. There you lose the tempo a bit so try to concentrate on that part. By the way you are on the right track. I would also like to hear you playing the second guitar.

Hi man! Thanks for this take! The takes (both guitars) are good but have many timing issues, you really have to concentrate on that. I'm talking mostly about the first palm muting section and the melodies of the last part, that I think that you recording in a second take. The other sections are played good. So, with some timing adjust you will have a perfect take. Keep on working!
