Would you recommend getting a baritone guitar if you want to play song in B E A D F# B tuning or would it work just as fine with a standard electric? I want to use that tuning when I get a new guitar to be able to play Amon Amarth style songs etc.

Bump!

No one have any experiences with baritone guitars? We have lots of people playing in drop C and lower tunings here so I'm use that at least one of you can point me in the right direction.

Can a 25" scale guitar handle a B tuning as well as a 26,5" or 30"?

You'd be better off with a baritone, they are built for the purpose with its longer scale.

Hey. I'm playing Drop C in one of my bands. I use an old Ibanez AR250 that I got used a couple of years ago. With a fat string gauge (I use elixir) it sounds allright but still the low C-string buzzes a bit. It could probably be fixed through some simple adjustments though... Haven't tried a baritone but would also love if it's worth getting one.... Pete Loeffler of Chevelle has an AWESOME PRS baritone.. Got some good tones too..
