GMC Forum _ Gabriel Leopardi _ Backing Track

Posted by: David442 Nov 3 2010, 09:39 PM

Im currently learning how to use Reaper and EZ Drummer, and wanting to learn how to make backing tracks. Its gonna be another month or two before I feel like I have more of a thourough knowlege to be able to use this software and apply it.Now I already understand how to record audio and the basics, but need a little more time.Im also bout to buy a videocamera as well. That being said while Im getting more proficient with using this software I'd like to go ahead and post a video of myself playing with a backing track, and maybe upload to YouTube.Should I import the backing track into Reaper and then record myself playing over the track along with the video and then synch the two together?Just wanting to make sure my thinking on this is correct.

Hi David! Your thinking is correct! that's the best way to go! You should use any video editing software like Vegas to synch the video with the audio and then export it to a youtube compatible video format (I recomend mp4 for youtube).
Let me know when your first video is uploaded!
