speechless

Oh yeah - I've seen this before. He pulls offs the last string skipping arpeggio part which I've struggled with for ages. If anything, it doesn't make me want to smash up my guitar - rather makes me start wanting to practise for an extra 10 hours!
(his timing isn't perfect btw - it's flippin' good, near perfect but a bit off, i.e too fast, in parts - makes me feel a tad better hehe)

I've seen this kid before on some other stage. Awesome smile.gif Pure Gilbert

Posted by: TreyDeschamp Apr 3 2009, 01:46 AM

I will never be able to play like that. Never enough time to practice anymore with school in the way sad.gif

Posted by: kjutte Apr 3 2009, 02:02 AM

Basement boy! Been practising since birth!

Awesome, I predict he will do well if he starts doing original music soon smile.gif

I agree! This Kid is awesome!

Makes me want to go back in time, Terminator style, and eliminate whoever initiated this arms race. I think Al Di Meola was quite fast enough, thank you. At least I can follow him emotionally.

I agree to most extent with you Jeff.

For me Eric Johnson has that best of both worlds per say. Everything thats ultra fast for more then one minute sounds like some video game music (and a really bad one smile.gif

Hehe, the kid is great indeed! He really practiced this a lot! smile.gif

Wow!

Posted by: purple hayes Apr 3 2009, 01:33 PM

At his age, I was playing with my Atari 2600.

Looks like I should have been playing guitar instead.

He has really put some work into that. This is what happens when your parents won't buy you a bike. I guess I could have done without my http://www.antiquewhs.com/2005015.htm and it rocked. That bike is the only thing besides my birth that has ever put me in the hospital. So yeah, I should have tried harder when I was a kid. ;-)

wow that is insane for that age tongue.gif

Talent ^^

Damn, when did this kid start out playing? When he was an embryo ?! laugh.gif As he is so young he must have a ultra effective way of practising. From which Gilbert album is that song???

Posted by: Artemus Apr 4 2009, 11:38 AM

It a Racer X song - Scarified. I think it's off their album Second Heat

Posted by: Ivan Mihaljevic Apr 4 2009, 09:26 PM

At his age I didn't even start playing...
He's amazing!

Posted by: Canis Apr 5 2009, 10:38 AM

Great kid! Hope he's in the game because he loves what he does, and not because his parents are making him unsure.gif

Anywya, for me it's just an inspiration to keep plucking away ^^

I don't think you'll make it that far if motivation isn't yours !

Posted by: Sollesnes Apr 5 2009, 12:39 PM

Damn. Most of the young guitarists I see on youtube that are crazy on speed, sucks on other aspects of guitar playing, making them sound bad. But this kid.. Damn. laugh.gif

Sweet, what games did you get?

Posted by: Bogdan Radovic Apr 6 2009, 01:38 PM

I saw some clips of this kid before. If he continues to practice like this , he's got a bright future ! I'm pretty sure that his parents are ambitious about it.
