For example, I know how to play the boxes in the pentatonic scales pretty much upside down.
But just playing box by box feels kinda limited, and when I try to move around I keep forgetting the other notes in the other boxes.

So, does anyone got any tips? maybe some lesson to help me memorize better?

I know I'll learn it eventually, but any help learning it faster would be much appriciated!

Check out Ivan's Pentatonic series. He'll introduce you to 'The Sliding Pentatonic' which is probably the easiest way to start!

1. Learn the scale linearly on each string.
2. Make exercises where you connect 2 adjacent boxes until you can do it effortlessly, then add another one, etc...

That's some good tips! never thought of learning ALL the notes on each string, this should be really helpful
I have tried to connect the boxes, can do maybe 2 boxes together very slowly, but once I go through more than 2 it gets too hard for me. Guess I'll just have to practise harder!

Learning to go horizontal on the guitar neck is very good to practice.
You often get stuck in only playing vertically up and down in the boxes.. This can be bad, because it limits you..
Incorporating this approach in your playing will give it a whole new dimension, and while it is the same notes you will be playing, it will sound totally different..
