Posted by: Gabriel Leopardi Mar 30 2012, 09:45 PM

Hi EVH!! Welcome to your http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=42832 thread!!

Could you please tell me a bit about you, your musical tastes, influences, strengths and weaknesses? I would need some videos of you playing rhythm and solo guitar, so please post your best material here. If you have some music or ideas of your own, also post them here. Also let me know how you think that I can help you and what are your expectations for our job. You can check the other Army's thread to discover the different modalities of this project.

The principles of our Army are:

+ Improve your technique
+ Make music and solos
+ Have fun
+ Destroy the enemy (hahaha not realy just kidding... )

I will try to make a video of Green Tinted sixties mind cover Mr Big soon.

I have many influences : Johnny Winter, Mountain, Ram Jam, Davie Bowie, many seventies things. But recently the influences I worked are post-seventies, as a continuation of seventies, with John Sykes, Rhandy Rhoad, Malmsteen, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake (I'm a big fan, old Whitesnake with mick moody and Aldrich era), Vanderberg, Dio, and Heavy Metal old school things add with Glam, Poison, Dokken, Mr Big, Ratt, or heavy metal Racer X. Otherwise I am a big fan of Reeves Gabrels mainly and Robert Fripp, Adrian Belew, David Fuze Fiuzinsky.

I wanted to make the video today, but when I recorded, my cheap destroy microphone died. I think I will recorded the video this next week and I will suggest to my band to do this cover.

I post a test video in waiting of the true real video with no mistake. This is the first video youtube I made. The video of Green Tinted Sixties will be release this weekend (with a lot of mistake, but I will try my best. Here the intro is massacre because my fretboard doesn't have marks, I go blind).

Otherwise I'm thinking to cover Talk dirty to me of Poison soon.

Hi mate! Thanks for the video! I can notice that we have to work on timing! Most of the time you are a bit after the beat compared to the track. Concentrate on that! Also that tapping section needs some work. Practice it slower with metronome.

Let me say that I really like your attitude on this video. smile.gif

We will get back to this son after some practice, ok? I know that you will be doing an improved take soon if you work hard on the things that I will give you. Let's start with a rhythm lesson that has a style similar to the songs that you like.

Work on this one and please record a take after some days using the backing track that can be downloaded there. wink.gif
