New Private

Hi Gabriel, my name is Jaime (friends calls me Jimmy), I'm from Canary Islands, Spain. I've been playing for about 8 years, but because of studies some years I didn´t play a lot.
Now I am highly motivated because I bought a new guitar (a beautiful Suhr Standard), so I really need to improve.

What I like most is rock and blues, but I would like to start also with jazz.
I like fast playing and improvising using scales. I would like to learn more scales than basic pentatonics, minor and mayor scales. And have excersises with new scales. Developing velocity with boxes, and improve technices like sweeping, and alternative picking.

I hope you can help me creating a work routine, having in mind that i can just play half an hour a day, and a little bit more in weekends.

Hi From Canary Islands!

Hi guys, im new, and im glad to join this group of guitarrists.
I´ve been playing for 6 years (im 22), by my own. Now feel that i need help to continue improving my guitar skills, so i registered here. I hope you can help me.
One important point is that i don´t know music language, i just play with tabs.

I have an Ibanez RG, and a Yamaha APX-3 (acoustic). I have also a drum and a Bass guitar (Squaier), but what i like most is the guitar.
(i forgot to say that i have a boss me-50)
I would like to improve more scales to be able to do better improvisations. Right now i just play with pentatonic, mayor and minors scales. If anybody here can give me a link with scales topics, it would help me a lot.
