Modes of the Diminished scales This is a topic for tomorrow's chat. We will discuss about the basic and other positions of this interesting scale and how to apply them.. I'm gonna show you some ideas that are not only good for building technique but are also interesting enough to use when performing. Here are other variants of C7 Diminished scale.. The diminished scale is almost always used as an altered scale over functioning Dominant 7th chords. Another important concern to which we devote attention to is a - position of the fingers. We gonna practice several variants of - descending and ascending runs .. The best way to learn any scales or patterns is to relate them to a chord immediately. It's important to hear from the beginning how a scale works musically.. Here are a two exercises that we will work out tonight ! Diminished_exercises.gp5 ( 2.12K ) Number of downloads: 169 This post has been edited by Sinisa Cekic: Jan 30 2012, 07:50 PM |
