Hi Trond, As many others I'm a big fan of your Rock Solo (Beginner). Trying to struggle my way through what many here probably consider elementary, it's really a wonderful lesson for someone who originally learned classical guitar for about a year, have tought myself some sing-a-long tabs and a lot of jazz chords for acoustic guitar. And then recently bought myself a Telecaster to explore electric guitar further. My request would be: is it possible for you to make a nice lesson with an interesting comp'ing for the Beginner solo? Something like Muris have done with his "Jazz Swing Rythm" lesson, where he gives a beginner and a intermediate lesson for soloing with the very same progression as background? It's a fun way to learn. And it emphasises the importance of not only being the soloing (shred?) star in a band, but also knowing nice ways to comp. And it shouldn't be too difficult for you to pull off? Thanks a lot for your efforts here, from a "closet Norwegian"! Best regards Torben Thanks Glad you like the lesson! I thought about doing the rock solo as a 3-level lesson. And it's still in the works. My problems is that when i'm trying to come up with a new solo for it, i end up coming up with ideas for wastly different lessons But an intermediate version is finished soon. I just have to get some exams finished, and then the lessons will start to flow more regularly. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

Sounds great, Trond. Just to specify: besides alternative solo's (great idea!) it would also be nice to get a suggestion for playing the accompanying chord progressions, in a nice arrangement. Because it's very educational to first do "your own backing track", recording the guitar backing first, and then apply the solo afterwoods. The whole thing coulc then be uploaded here, perhaps? At least I find it (hva er ordet for "lærerikt" på engelsk?) satisfying. This post is just because it isn't clear to me, if this was your intention? Thanks again. Torben Hm.. no, that wasnt what i had in mind, but that was a really good idea I'll definetly try to do something like that. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

It'd be awesome to have a lesson where you used your guitar that has the whammy bar so you can do a scream in the lesson! Or even a dive bomb!
