Hi,

I'm making a cover of http://youtu.be/gfgUs1ljs24

What is the right hand tecnique in the beginning? I mean playing down-down-down-down-up. Is there any lesson on GMS showing how to play this one or similar?

Thanks

Hi mate. In this style of strumming the strings are usually divided in lower ones (4, 5 and 6) and the others. I found this strumming style on Irish Folk and also some USA folk. I will be uploading a lesson based on an acoustic indie band who uses this acoustic strumming soon. By now I recorded this short video to show you the strumming I think the guy is using in the video. It can have some variations, but here is the concept.

Check how I play lower strings first and then all strings with a down stroke.

I hope that it's clear now! If not, just ask! smile.gif
