GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Drop D Riffs

Posted by: Pourliver Apr 30 2012, 09:57 PM

Hi GMC:er !

I just discovered the wonderful world of Drop D riffing ! biggrin.gif

I'm looking for some riffs or song in Drop D, hard rock or metal style.

At the moment I know All Nightmare Long - Metallica, it's perfect, thats the kind of difficulty I'm looking for.

Laid To Rest - Lamb Of God, A little bit too hard, but I'll learn it one day.

Do you have any idea of song and riff like these ? What are your favorite Drop D song ?

I'm not sure about those songs you requested but my favorite Drop D lesson is

I'm not sure this is even of interest to you but I thought it was cool, it's just a riff not a song !!

Also check out Asking Alexandria, I think a fair amount of their stuff is in Drop D as well.

If you don't really like their stuff try Alter Bridge, I think they're in Drop D also smile.gif
