You know guys that in music, a concept album is an album that is "unified by a theme, which can be instrumental, compositional, narrative, or lyrical. There are lots of amazing concept albums mostly in Progressive & Metal styles but there are also Pop, Punk and many other styles that has this type of albums. I was wondering if you like these albums and which are your favourites....

Some of my favourites are:

The first albums that came to my mind were some of the Ayreon albums! laugh.gif The Electric Castle is probably my favorite from Ayreon. Also, Metropolis Pt. 2 is an excellent one.

Camel- The Snowgoose is a great instrumental concept album

Queensryche- Operation: Mindcrime is another great one.

My favourite concept album, which isn't really a true concept, is Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.. but then again, it's probably just because it's my fave Maiden album.

In terms of real concept albums, this is possibly the best because the continuity is so excellent and by the end you feel really emotionally involved. The whole asylum, memory loss thing just chills me. They really nailed it.

Oh, man...

Most of my music library consists of concept albums. I have 1.62 terra-bytes saved on two external Hard-Drives and 78.93 gigs on my Laptop Hard-Drive.

It would probably have to be one of my top three bands, however.

Devil Doll, Opeth, Agalloch

Anything produced by any of the aforementioned three is of great quality and imagination.

When it comes to concept albums Mastodon have done a few. Leviathan is probably my favourite but Crack the Skye is probably the most proggy and out there one in terms of the story.
Also Clutch did a concept album called Elephant Riders which I love.
