HI!

I´ve recorded a new song, and now I have the problem to find a cool lead melody.

Improvising with known licks is no problem, but to find a concept is very hard for me.

Two questions wink.gif

1.) What do you think about my new composition
2.) How to find a cool melody

I think there's chords can be a good bed for a cool melody. Not many changes harmonically which means the melody has freedom to be as expressive as possible.

How to find it? push your brain and imagination. Start singing a simple melody over it, but don't settle for it. Make variations to that simple melody and you'll come up with something original

I like your backing track. It sounds very nice!
Best approach would be to sing the melody over it and only then try to find the notes of it on guitar. That way you'll get something that would be more melodic and outside the patterns you are used to playing.

Once you find the main melody, try to make small variations around it.

Hope this helps smile.gif
