Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not.... Here is my first ever video. Not perfect by all means but getting there. Theres a part near the end where i think i'm missing a trick - ill have to work on it some more Some feedback would be nice -------------------- When I look in the mirror I see a face-melting guitar shredder.... maybe my mirror tells the future?

Hi, this is a cool video. Love your guitar too I always thought this was a fantastic solo by Hetfield.. considering he's not a lead player he has a brilliant ear for melody. I thought you did pretty well... there's just a few places that need tightening up a bit, but that's all a case of practice. The pull off from the bend at 0:20 ( I think I got that right) could be more fluid and relaxed. Try and slow the lick down and let your left hand cleanly play the bend and pull off. Also, a future thing to look at will be vibrato, to give you a more controlled and soulful sound. However, it seems you're learning this solo just fine, you're not doing anything 'wrong' and it's just a case of more practice I think. As they say, perfect practice makes perfect.. so slow things down and practice perfect repetition of the licks.. that way you don't practice your mistakes and youre only training your brain and fingers the correct movements. Hi ben, thanks for the reply! I'll take ur points on board and post a new take asap -------------------- When I look in the mirror I see a face-melting guitar shredder.... maybe my mirror tells the future?

Hey, that's a very nicely played solo!
What I would advise is that you work more on your bending and vibrato. There is some problem with pitch of the bend, and those notes should be vibrated more widely. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Cheers for the tips Ivan
I think i've figured out why it sounds wrong at 20 seconds - i dont think i was holding a specific note long enough. I'm now working on my bends and vibrato - its sounding better already -------------------- When I look in the mirror I see a face-melting guitar shredder.... maybe my mirror tells the future?
