im looking for a new webcam for use with REC and various other things... can anyone suggest any cheap good quality ones?

Logitech quickcam pro 9000 is used by many members with great results. It's not the cheapest one though, but sometimes cheap is expensive in the long run...

I think it is better to save some money for the Logitech 9000 Pro. If you really cannot afford better cam at this moment, you can get any webcam that can run process a decent resolution at 24 fps. You will need a good lighnting to achieve good quality with it too, and the picture may not be equally good on all parts of the video, because of the poor lens quality. So, it's better to wait, and get a good webcam. A second hand miniDV cam would work the best tho, if you can find something cheap, it will be even better.

I can only recommend Logitech quickcam pro 9000 but its not cheap. I don't think there are any cheaper ones that can produce enough frame rate for a descent video!
