Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

This take is actually for both lessons "Style 1 and 2. On this take I re-recorded the backing track and embellished a little bit on the bass. Instead of just playing root note 8ths the whole time, I kind of followed the main riff. I'm going to submit this same YouTube vid for both REC takes. The "style1" take is at the beginining and the "style2" take is in the 2nd half.

Hey mate! Awesome tone and interpretation! Nothing to add, although you could put some more 'fire' into this take biggrin.gif but 10 it is wink.gif
All the best and keep up the good work!

The timing is perfect! I suggest you to once more pay attention to the main riffing - vibrato is much wider than yours, and that's one of the main SRV characteristics ! wink.gif

Your take is excellent mate! You did a great job! I like your tone, your bends are perfect, your vibrato is ok. I would only add more aggression to your playing inspired in SRV playing... check out some videos of him playing live and concentrate mostly on his vibrato.
By the way it's a 10 for me! Well done!

Sounds pretty good! Like your tone! The only thing I was missing is your attack when you are playing rhythm part when you are doing SRV you need to bring it up because when he is playing he is fighting with the guitar!
You got the solo and it felt good when you played it! I like this take!

I must say you really have a nice feeling for the blues timing, and excellent vibrato & release technique. Tone is also excellent, really good control, nice and tight.

As far as technique goes, vibrato should be more aggressive and wider, and (perhaps) your performance could use a bit more energy.
