You can play three different pentatonics all the way through!

G minor pentatonic - C minor Pentatonic - D minor pentatonic

Feel free to experiment or just stay on one pentatonic in one box!
I am looking forward to hear your takes!!!!

This is literally the first thing I have ever written, and it was way harder to record than I anticipated. I am not happy with the recording quality, but I ran out of time unsure.gif
If anyone has any tips or advice (about writing or recording), I would be very appreciative.

I used the G minor pentatonic for this, until the very end, where I used C minor, but tried to finished on a G note.

Hey Alex, I'm afraid you are going to have to count me out on this one, I'm finishing up my college classes this week, and been writing a reserach paper for the past two weeks. I thought I could squeeze in time to do a recording, but it looks like its not going to be possible after all. I guess you could say I got the College Finals Blues this week. I been listening to all the takes so far and they are awesome, I'm looking forward to hearing the final mix!

Hey guys so the modern blues collab is finished!
You all did a great job!
Here is the full track
http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/modern-blues-collab
First solo is played by moleman
You did a very nice job I like your sound and some ideas were great! a few timing issues tho! I can suggest to practice licks with a metronome at a slow tempo and you will get it to sound perfect!

Second solo is played by snackjack
Veyr nice take! Reminded me of Van Halen style! Very good job! Nice touch! Towards the end I think you kinda lost it, bends were out of tune and you started to rush! The whole feel of the track was very nice and I think in more collabs you will participate better it will get! smile.gif

Third solo played by Dieterle
Good job! I can hear that you were experimenting with the sound and tried using some cool effects! I have noticed that tremolo wasn't locked with the track and it kinda messed up your timing and the whole feel!
I like you ideas a lot and I think more experience you will gain using effects better results and sounds you will get!

Fourth solo is played by Bleez
Very nice and melodic take! I liked the melody that you did and rhythm figure in the middle was pretty cool!
I can suggest to keep it less busy so you have more space to develop your solo! Other than that good job!

Thank you guys for participating in this collab! You all did a great job!!!!
I am looking forward to hear more solos from all of you! smile.gif
