GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Request For Line 6 Pod Tones...all Of Mine Are Lost!

Posted by: Praetorian Dec 23 2010, 05:42 PM

Hi guys. I play through a Line 6 Studio GX into my PC. For some unknown reason, the folder in which I keep all my tones got corrupted, and now all the tones sound exactly the same! This is frustrating to say the least. Can anyone with POD files send them to me so I can get up and running again?

THANKS!!!!

Ben

Yeah, I was able to reinstall the stock files. But all the best tones I used were ones I had gotten from people on this site! That file of custom tones is the one that got screwed up.

I also use PODFarm. If you tell me what I should do I'm willing to help.
So, all your presets sound the same? Should I then upload all the presets here?

Actually...nevermind! I uninstalled and then reinstalled POD Farm 2, and all the custom tones work fine once again!

Thanks guys for the help!

Well Even tho You have your tones back ... Maybe we could create a thread where people would post their Podfarm tones So that we could find a lot of cool tones..

This is a great example of why Backing Up Your Data is important wink.gif Even if you just copy your custom tones folder to a thum/jump drive, or compress them in a zip file and email them to yourself as an attachment, anything. Just some sort of backup in the event your drive craps out or what not. Getting all your custom patches back would be tough. Take the time to locate the folder they are in and make a quick copy on something for backup, even burning to CD, copying to another drive, it doesn't matter, just some sort of backup.

I can't tell you how many times I've run in to fellow musicians, studio owners, etc. who are pulling their hair out because they just never made time or took the effort to backup their plugins, presets, project files etc. It can really cause serious pains in the neck so to speak.
