Hey there friend, here's my take.
I had very little time to record it so that's why it's mostly improvised! http://soundcloud.com/dino-trnka/rnr-guitar http://soundcloud.com/dino-trnka/rnr-with-backing |

Well, here is my take. Admittedly, I used some "Berry" well known licks, but I had fun doing it!

Final mix is here
Final_Mix.mp3 ( 3.88MB ) Number of downloads: 207 Participants were: DeGroot 00:06 - 00:43 Dinaga 00:45 - 01:25 CasinoStrat01:26- 02:06 DeGroot Very good! This style suits you. Phrasing is excellent, a real rock and roll solo! The only thing I might advise is that you try to put a major pentatonic phrase in some spots, and it would be a real refreshment. Of course, this backing track is too short for all scales that could enter into consideration, but anyway.. just my thinking. Superb, just continue like this! Dinaga Another good shot. First I had a good laugh - the first bends reminded me irresistible on Z.Joksimovic/ Drska zeno plava !Anyway, very good mix of hard rock and classic rockabilly licks - a sign that you're trying to unite several styles into one natural whole, which is extraordinary and can never be bored. Keep rocking !! CasinoStrat Great ! Classic minor pentatonic phrases are nicely sorted and played even better, but I notice a little rhythmic imbalance in the resolving E chord, as if you right there running out of ideas and these phrases are noticeably below the level than others - from the beginning. In this I/ IV/ V/progression, V is very important if not crucial, and has a dual function - as the cherry on the cake, the completion of a cycle - and also as an announcement of a new, perhaps even more interesting circle! Good job ! ................................................................................ ................................................... Really guys, I am pleased to have such a players! What is common to all of you is - sense for improvisation, it can be seen after two bars, and it was a pleasure to listen to your shots! And finally, I will reveal something, and advice at the same time - listen carefully any backing track ! In this BT was, it seems, an camouflaged instrument - piano ! Which is constantly played the dominant chords A7/D7/E7 ! You were too occupied with listening to classic guitar riffing in the foreground, and the pentatonic minor key was a logical sequence, fine ! But If you have some free time try major pentatonic, also the dominant scale and you'll see how it will bring freshness to every improvisation. Thanks again, it was a pleasure! Sinisa |
