I definitely will be soon. I was really sick last week so I didn't pick my guitar up all that much. I will post a take this week.

This definitely took longer than it should have. I was really sick and had to take some time away from the instrument. Here is my take of the stretching lesson. I had some trouble with it, so I slowed it down quite a bit(There are still errors). I have added it to my daily warm-up routine so that I can become much better at it. Here is my current take:

Thanks! I thought I didn't do my best since I am not at the peak of my performance right now. I always get incredibly sick during the summertime dry.gif

I would like to try it. I am ready and willing.

Here is the backing track I would like you to use to practice!
http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/withguitar
It's a minor blues
The chord changes are:
Ami7 - Dmi7 - Ami7 - Emi7 - Dmi7 - Ami7
I would like you to start getting use to this track and jam over it!
To start we will use A minor blues pentatonic in 3 positions:

You can use any notes from those positions !Try to combine them together and turn them into short licks!
I would like to hear what you can come up with before I will give you examples!
Let me know if you need help or have any questions!
I will add my take tomorrow and will explain the next step! smile.gif

You did a great job! You have some very good ideas! I like it a lot! I would suggest to play less busy in the beginning and leave more space for track to breathe! Also try to use more dynamic! It will bring your playing to the next level right away! I will post a few exercises for you to work on dynamic! smile.gif Keep it up!

Here are two amazing exercises to work on dynamic! We will be using only 4 notes but you will get results very fast!
Ex1

Ex2

I have recorded the track to give you an idea you can play along with me or just use the drum track!
Here is my track
http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/nishlist
Drums track
Attached File  DrumsMentoring80BPM.mp3 ( 5.13MB ) Number of downloads: 84

Use a slightly distorted sound and try to bring up the volume using only you the pick! This is not an easy exercise but it works and you will get results in a few days! It will help you to feel your right hand and you will be able to have a full control over it!
Let me know if you have any questions or need help!

Yup! Sorry about not responding sooner, but I left my computer at my friend's house last week and rather than going and getting it sooner, I thought it might be fun to practice the old-fashioned way with just some sheet music and metronome. That small change really made me learn a lot this past week!

I have been working with Major and minor 7th chords more than anything. I am just trying to memorise where all the Major 7th chord voicings are right now. Then I will memorise all the minor 7th chord voicings.

I was working on a really cool Jazz standard named Always by Irving Berlin. Do you know of it?
