So, what is your favorite Dream Theater song?
Myns probably Another day : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUPgSOwTIAA The intro and solo, is really some side of Petrucci I never really heard before this. Awesome guitar riffs and solo. And super awesome sax stuff! Way off the track of what they ussually do. Metropolis is real good too. tj -------------------- Check out my playing here - http://www.youtube.com/user/tjchep

i'd say "Trial Of Tears" and maybe "hells kitchen"...but there's so many
Edit: I just have to add "The Killing Hand" aswell, best song of their first album imo This post has been edited by Gen: Feb 27 2008, 08:58 PM -------------------- "Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. You mean i have to choose?!?!?
its so close between so many songs- but i can only narrow it down to "stream of consciousness" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF6tCPlFaO8 and "in the name of god" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZM04-ysM7g...feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXstvXu5sPs...feature=related yep i really love the train of thought album ... i should probably explain my choices- stream of consciousness just keeps developing the same idea throughout and everytime i listen to it i hear new things- so well written and so damn memorable. In the name of god- because the first time i heard that chorus, i froze . i was in awe- it was just epic. My jaw dropped and i was completly blank minded, just trying to absorb what i was hearing. It still has a similar effect on me now (just lacking the element of surprise this time Those are my top two i think |

Lol are you kidding me, here are some of my favorite
Under a Glass Moon In the Name of God Stream of Conciousnous (however you spell it, I hate English) Lines in the Sand In the Prescence of Enemies Constant Motion Forsaken Dark Eternal Night Octavarium Ytse Jam Hell's Kitchen Anna Lee Home Strange Dejavu The Killing Hand HOWEVER, my favorite DT songs and consequently favorite songs ever are........ 1- Metropolis Part 1 2- Take the Time 3- This Dying Soul 4- Honor Thy Father 5- The Glass Prison 6- The Dance of Eternity 7- Endless Sacrafice 8- Erotamia 9- Trial of Tears 10- Blind Faith 11- Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence 12- The Root of All Evil 13- These Walls 14- Another Day 15- In the Name of God Yea, I am pretty much like the biggest Dream Theater fan ever!!! But WAIT. What would a best Dream Theater song list be without a WORST Dream Theater song list. Here's mine 1- Pull Me Under. I HATE THIS SONG. This is why I made threads against Dream Theater when I started listening to them, because this song, being the first one I ever heard is pretty much crap, and I will still enforce that today. 2- Take Away My Pain 3- Hollow Years 4- Surrounded 5- Status Seeker This post has been edited by shellshock1911: Feb 27 2008, 11:57 PM -------------------- ![]() |
